Jojoba Desert: Making a Difference for Essential Healthcare Workers

JD Donates Jojoba Oil and Jojoba Butter to Soroka University Medical Center in Beer-Sheva, Israel.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the world has banded together to support our essential workers on the front lines fighting the virus. And, Jojoba Desert has quietly been rallying to support those at their local hospital in Beer-Sheva, Israel: Soroka University Medical Center.

This year, Jojoba Desert has been honored to donate a large supply of Jojoba Oil and Jojoba Butter to the hard-working staff of Soroka University Medical Center, as the products are proven to assist in healing and rejuvenation of the skin.

Jojoba oil is not only beneficial in an aesthetic sense; due to its unique chemical structure, which is similar to human sebum, Jojoba oil is safe to use on all skin types. JD’s pure Jojoba Oil and Jojoba Butter can be safely applied even on injured skin, assisting the skin in its rejuvenating process. This is especially helpful for healthcare workers, who are always obligated to wear masks and are frequently washing their hands, and have dry, chapped hands as a result.

“The skin-repairing properties innately found in Jojoba oil opens up a world of possibilities for its applications,” says Anna Aharoni, R&D Manager at Jojoba Desert (A.C.S.) Ltd. “Jojoba oil can help skin heal more quickly, which can alleviate the discomfort felt by hospital workers washing and sanitizing their hands dozens of times per day.”

Adds Lee Reuveni, CEO of Jojoba Desert, “We at Jojoba Desert are proud and humbled to do our part in the fight against COVID-19 by providing healthcare workers with our products to heal their hands and skin, and keep them working as comfortably as possible. Thank you to the outstanding staff at Soroka University Medical Center for all you do to serve our community.”
